Desert Scene was a Royal Doulton series from the 1920s - 1930s. It features exotic camels and camel riders.
You can purchase this lovely 27cm plate from the House of Its So Last Century. Unlike the last desert scene plate I had, this one has very little crazing - making it vastly superior. You'll notice the glaze is a bit bumpy around the top - but otherwise it's all hunky dory.
